The foreground came out pretty realistic, probably due to that big rock, which I don't see people doing in desert-Vue scenes, perhaps the top is a little too point, but the bulk of it looks great.

I almost forgot, if you want to create, or enhance interesting rock formations, you can make terrains into boolean objects so additional terrains in the group will "eat into" the main terrain/rock. It's what I used to make the rocks in Penjing ( which I can tell by your comment, you already saw )
